This message is directed at all citizens of the city of Reutlingen,
As you know, for many months now we have all been impacted by the Corona virus, and that includes all our daily routines.
I suppose you will all agree with me when I say that we wish for nothing more than a “return to normality”.
First of all, however, I would like to thank you, the citizens of Reutlingen, very much for your support and patience.
At times it seems as if there is no way out of this situation. But there IS a lot we can do.
Each and everyone of us can contribute to gradually bringing on a state of normality.
Quick Corona tests, for example, are an important new building block in our fight against the pandemic.
And remember: It is possible for you to get tested, completely free of charge, in the town hall in Reutlingen.
The opening hours have been extended so that the quick test centre is now open six days a week, from Monday to Saturday and from 9.30 h in the morning to 5.30 h in the early evening.
Let me remind you: All of us need to rely on mutual support and the consideration of others. This also means that we all abide by the rules that apply.
So, please: Always make sure you keep a minimum distance of 1.5m from those around you and: wear a medical mask or FFP2 mask.
I know it is very hard for everyone to accept months-long restrictions that offer only limited possibilities to go and see and spend time with our friends, with our families and relatives.
At the same time, however, all of us are individually responsible to protect ourselves - and to protect others.
So, if you need more information on the Corona virus, do check out our city homepage – and check it out regularly for latest updates in several languages.
Remember: You too can help to stop the spread of the Corona virus! Get tested!
Your cooperation counts more than you might think!
Only together can we get a hold on this exceptional situation.
So, keep persevering, keep strong and remain confident in these challenging times.
And above all: Stay healthy!
